Live Arrival Guarantee


If an animal perishes before reaching their destination (this is an extremely rare occurrence), we will issue a credit for the cost of the animal as long as certain criteria are met.


For every animal adoption order, a valid shipping address must be included, otherwise the Live Arrival Guarantee will be voided. A valid street address will include, but is not limited to, proper street names, apartment, condo, suite numbers, and zip codes.


In order for this Live Arrival Guarantee to be valid, the intended recipient must be available for delivery reception upon the first delivery attempt. This Live Arrival Guarantee cannot extend to cover orders which are left on a doorstep or that are not signed for.


To validate this Live Arrival Guarantee, we must be notified of the delivery within two (2) hours of the time verified by UPS or the selected shipper’ proof of delivery. We cannot accept notification by telephone. To notify us, send an email tolkmann05@gmail.com Upon receipt of your email, you will receive a Guarantee Authorization Number (GA Number). It is necessary that this GA Number accompany your returned items.


As part of the Live Arrival Guarantee offered by us, the animal must be taken to a vet an a valid death certificate established.


Per this Live Arrival Guarantee, I am not responsible for any costs incurred by you in order to abide to the guarantee.


All shipping fees are non-refundable. Our Live Arrival Guarantee can only be validated through the proper notification outlined above within the necessary 2-hour time period.


30-Day Health Guarantee


Within the industry, our 30-Day Health Guarantee is second to none. We stand behind the health of our turtles and tortoises for a full 30 days following their arrival to you because of the expert level of care we provide to them. It is impossible for us to extend our health guarantee beyond seven days because the level of care you provide plays too important of a role. Each and every turtle and tortoise has been screened by our herpetological expert staff on a per-week basis before they are ever adopted. However; we can only inspect and examine our turtles with the naked eye.


Once you receive your turtle or tortoise, should you have any questions about their health or condition, you should contact a veterinarian for assistant. You may also contact us with your questions, but our ability to help you will be limited. We are not responsible for your desire to seek out veterinarian assistance. In the rare event that your turtle or tortoise should perish prior to the 30-Day Health Guarantee, you will be issued a store credit from Tortoise World for the cost of the animal which can be used at any time.


The 30-Day Health Guarantee can only be validated by it being established within the 30-day time period which begins from the delivery time-stamp, or the Shipper’ proof of delivery. This notification must be made via email tolkmann05@gmail.com we cannot accept notification by telephone because of the time restrictions. Claims made beyond the 30-day time period cannot be accepted and will be denied.


Any failure to read and acknowledge any of our terms and conditions do not cause our terms and conditions to be null and void.


Payment


The payment methods currently being accepted at Tortoise world are Westernunion, Moneygram and Bank Transfers for Payments above 1000euros.


Orders will not be processed and shipped until they are paid in full. Bank transfers are required to clear through the bank before any orders will be processed and shipped. Please allow time for proper forwarding when these methods of payment are used with Tortoise World. Typically, an additional 10 business days are required in order to complete this process.                                                        ORDERING INFORMATION
 
Choose the animal(s) you are interested in.  Please contact us via phone or email to make sure the animal is available.  We want you to have a good experience adding our animals to your collection.   When you contact us, we can give you an exact price quote including shipping fees.

Shipping:  All of our animals are shipped  Fed-Ex or Airborne delivery, live delivery guaranteed.   We use insulated boxes to help stabilize the temperature.  If needed, 20 hour heat packs are also used.  In summer, we will use cool packs to keep the animals from overheating.  For small orders, most animals are packaged individually in deli style containers with airholes.    Our shipping survival rate  is around 98%.  If there are any losses, we need to be notified within 24 hours, preferably with a photo of the deceased animal sent via email.  We do not issue cash refunds for losses, but we do replace the animal at no charge.  We ship in the late afternoon or early evening and the package usually arrives the following day before 3 pm for local deliveries.  Someone must be present at the address to sign for the package.  Shipments can be sent to your place of employment if you prefer.


Individual Photos:  Whenever possible, we try to have individual photographs of many of the animals we have for sale.  Unfortunately sometimes its not possible to have a photo of every animal.  Generally, we do have photos of our hatchings and young juveniles.  If you look on our various pages, we have photos showing examples of each type we are working with.  You  can expect your new addition to look similar to those in the photos.  We do provide individual photos of most of our higher quality subadult and adult animals.  You can see a photo and some general information including length/weight, sex, and price.

3: Cash for people who come to pick up their tortoises.

A Wire Transfer for the total amount including shipping can be sent to our address.  We will give you our address when you place your order.   We will contact you within 24 hours after receiving payment so we can set up a shipping date.

Receiving your new animal(s) and acclimation:  We guarantee our animals to arrive 100% healthy.  Because of weather conditions, they may be chilled and act sluggish for a while, but after they adjust, they will be alert and active.  Please have patience when feeding any new animal.  Some reptiles may go several days or more before they begin feeding.  Also, it is important to handle them as little as possible for the first week or two.  Handling is stressful to any reptile and the first thing a stressed reptile does is stop feeding.  As long as you have a proper setup, there should be no problems with feeding after several days.  If you have any problems or the animal is showing signs of being sick, please contact us for advice.  It is very important to us that you have a good experience with our animals.  We care about the well- being of each animal and want them to live long, healthy lives.
